Concert Tickets As Gifts

I have a cousin that lives in Pittsburgh and she turns 17 this weekend. She is a huge fan of music in general and likes everything from dancehall to classical and opera. For her birthday, I bought her Post Gazette Pavilion Tickets to the Blink 182 show. It took a little work to set up everything with her best friend but we got it done and she will have some friends to party with. Hopefully she won’t visit this site before then of the cat will be out of the bag for sure!

I try to get my relatives concert tickets for birthdays and holidays. Everyone loves some kind of music and it is so easy to buy tickets online for people that live out of state that it’s a win-win situation for me. I got my aunt in Virginia Nissan Pavilion Tickets last year for her birthday and I got my cousin in New York PNC Bank Center Tickets for Christmas. The tickets aren’t always cheap but it beats heading to the mall to shop and I know that the people really love getting them as gifts so it all works out in the end. I’ll be sure to post when and where I buy my next tickets for a dancehall event.

UFC 100 On Direct TV

So did any of you guys watch the UFC 100 on the weekend? I watched it on Direct TV with a few friends here at my place. Usually we head down to a bar to watch it all but we figured that we would get a few guys together and split the cost of the PPV event. We had to spend some money on it but once you figure out how much you save on buying your own beer at home rather than at a bar, it usually balances out quite quickly. Not to mention that you don’t have to worry about a designated driver or money for a taxi.

Although this is the first UFC event that I have purchased, I have watched many PPV movies. All I do is head over to directtv.com and look at all their listings. Again, you can save a lot of money by watching one of those movies at home rather than dropping $30 or $40 at a theater. If you keep your eyes open, you can usually find some DirecTV Specials that popup which get you some cheaper movies or a discount on your bill. The discounts aren’t always huge but anything you save, you can just put towards the next movie or event that you want to watch.
