After telling you about my recent upgrade to Direct TV I went over to Directtv.com and found out that they offer an iPhone app. It’s completely free and very easy to use. They say that it works with the iPod Touch also but I don’t have one of those so I can’t really tell you how well it works on that. It works fine for my iPhone though so that’s all that really matters I guess.

Basically, I can now program my DVR from anywhere. Obviously it isn’t something that I am going to use every single day but how many times have you left the house without recording something that you really wanted to watch? It amazes me how far technology has come! One thing that I do enjoy about the App is that I can look at the TV schedule up to two weeks in advance. A nice feature when you are bored sitting in traffic!

I gotta say that I am happy that I made the switch to DirectTV. I love that I can watch what I want, when I want and I don’t even have to be sitting at home to make sure my shows are set up for me. If only I could find an iPhone App that would fire up my vacuum cleaner for me and clean my house!

Unless you have been living under a rock, I’m sure that you have heard that all the television broadcasts are moving from analog to digital this year. Although I already had digital cable, I decided to use this broadcasting change to upgrade my digital cable to Direct TV. All my friends had been telling me how good their service was but I was too lazy to switch before this lol.

I came across a few different DirecTV Specials, did some comparisons with my digital cable service and decided that it made a lot of sense to make the switch. Changing companies was way easier than I thought it would be and I was up and running in no time! I have WAY more options than I did with digital and I can subscribe to things like their NFL package and follow the best games rather than just watch what the networks decide to show me.

It’s nice that I get to listen to music and watch dancehall videos on the music channels in my package. You can pretty much customize it all to your liking so you don’t really feel boxed into what someone else thinks you will like. I won’t bother to tell you about all of the options because you can just head over to directtv.com and check them out for yourself.
